The brush is outstanding, cast iron pot is ok. The silicon mop is the real star of this package. The cast iron pot is great for sauce heating and serving.

I went in 2 different Canadian Tire and out of 9 items, 8 were missing the holder screw (handle). I first purchased the product and had to go in a second shop in order to get the missing component. Only 1 item had it. This is a terrible assembly/production issue. The product looks strong and will most likely do what I expect from it. I think I will appreciate this product. I even recommend this product as I like Vermont Casting's brand. But how complicated it was to get the complete item.

TheVermont Castings Basting set is perfect for many uses! We used it on the bbq - held 2 cans of baked beans. We also used it for basting ribs sat on top of our smokers firebox and being cast iron held the heat well! The brush is a perfect length without burning your hands and was a wonderful mop on the ribs. It is perfect for the bbqer who thinks they have everything!
